All Done

Hey all,

Sorry for the morning post, it was Canadian Thanksgiving yesterday and I ate more turkey than I should have. I ended up falling into a bit of a coma after feasting and never quite recovered. The blog totally slipped from my mind (all I wanted to do was nap).

It was a good weekend for the writing. Charlotte finished the book and I have two paragraphs that I want to touch up before I send it off to my next round of readers (which should be today). There were a couple questions with the very end of the book, so I just want to make sure that I have all of the information in there, and in a clear way, so that no one else gets confused by what goes on. Like I said, it shouldn’t take long ad I’ll have the book emailed out by tonight. Unfortunately I can’t really talk about the specific points that were the issue, because it would give away too much, but I can say that I think the issue was the chapters were a little busy. A lot went on in a very short time span (pages) and if you missed one thing then it ended up throwing everything else out of whack. Maybe I can slow things down or make the important bits really pop… not sure, but toning down the busy is probably a good place to start.

It’ll be nice to have a day or two to sit down and really hardcore map out my next book while Dreamstate II is out of my hands. I’ve been able to find some time to mess with it nowadays, but there’s always that little voice in the back of my head telling me to work on the main project. That’ll be gone now and I can commit fully, if only until I get Dreamstate II back.

In news unrelated to me writing books, I participated in and placed quite highly in a Hearthstone video game tournament this weekend. I ended up taking the 3rd/4th spot in a 400ish person tournament and winning a few prizes. It was a fun thing to do for a few hours and I’m still not quite done telling people that I won real world things by playing a video game well. All in all, it’s been a fun few days.
